If using the Documents add-on, can you make certain fields required?

We are evaluating the Documents plugin, but I wanted to know if we could make certain fields required if someone edits a document. Specifically, we would like to make Revision Author(s) and Revision Date required fields to ensure people update those fields?

Currently this is not supported. But we plan to implement it in the near future.
