Importing an SQL Database into Insight

Mitch January 16, 2019

I am trying to import an SQL inventory database into Insight. When I create the object type mapping I get all the column names in the Data Locator, but I only have Created, Name, Key, & Updated for Insight Attribute. Only Name can be set. Can anyone tell me what I am missing here?

Hi Mitch.

You are missing Attributes on the Object Types in your Schema! ;)

Columns / Datalocator should be mapped to Attributes on the Object Type you are importing into. By default, creating an Object Type will create only 4 default attributes, where only the Name is editable. All other Attributes must be created and configured. There are no predefined structure and configuration implemented for the Database type

Please Navigate to the Object Type>Attributes Tab and configure the required Attributes on Object Types. these Attributes will be then available to map datalocators/columns into.

See our documentation for additional information, or submit a Support request with us - https://portal.riada.io if you need additional assistance.
