Internal Server error caused by Gantt Chart Plugin

Our log files regularly shows the following error message:

1.  2014-07-23 06:16:09,491 ajp-8015-19 ERROR mvv1559 376x96508x1 l5cz44 212.65.8.40 /secure/EditComment.jspa [atlassian.event.internal.AsynchronousAbleEventDispatcher] There was an exception thrown trying to dispatch event 'com.atlassian.jira.event.issue.IssueEvent@7d25022b[issue=OC-916,comment=com.atlassian.jira.issue.comments.CommentImpl@64dc41fd,worklog=<null>,changelog=<null>,eventTypeId=14,sendMail=true,params={originalcomment=com.atlassian.jira.issue.comments.CommentImpl@242ae42f, eventsource=action, baseurl=https://jira.soluvia.de/jira},subtasksUpdated=false]' from the invoker 'SingleParameterMethodListenerInvoker{method=public void de.polscheit.jira.listener.GanttListener.onIssueEvent(com.atlassian.jira.event.issue.IssueEvent), listener=de.polscheit.jira.listener.GanttListener@27f993d4}'.

2.  java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.NullPointerException

at com.atlassian.event.internal.SingleParameterMethodListenerInvoker.invoke(SingleParameterMethodListenerInvoker.java:50)I know one case this is related to: When trying to update a comment we sometimes get an interneal server error.
