Is it possible to Clone an issue so it includes the sub-tasks?

Ian Cook September 10, 2013

When I use the

More : Schedule Issue

menu option on an Epic with Subtasks, it only copies the Issue to a new ticket without retaining the Sub-tasks.

The

More : Clone

menu option retains the sub-tasks.

Would it be possible to have the option to use a Clone rather than a copy?

Hello Ian,

At this moment TheScheduled is not able to copy linked sub-tasks. It can only copy all field values (ootb fields and custom fields) but we can think about this as a feature to implement in the future.

Thanks for idea.

I agree that the intention was like you describe, but in practice, many authors don't have time to monitor these answers (not all of them of course), but they do reply to direct contacts or on their own issue trackers. It was just a suggestion, you didn't do anything wrong :)

Yes, and then I used the Giant Blue Ask Question button route, rather than the manually copy/paste to the author's tiny obscure email address route.

Was I supposed to not use this system? I figured the authors would monitor the extremely prominent Ask Questions system, seeing as that is where users are funneled for support.

I guess I'll email them privately then.

Did you try asking authors of that plugin, by clicking on the Support and Issues link? :)
