Currently use JIRA Helpdesk and other JIRA SW throughout the business. Development, QA, etc. Just started using JIRA AIP Mar 2020.
Started using LAN Sweeper Nov 2019 to discover assets on network. We have 10,000+
Like the idea of linking JIRA support tickets to recorded assets.
Like to connect AIP to LAN Sweeper to import assets and work towards automating inventory entry into AIP.
Looking for direction or documentation for success.
Hello Peter,
Event based rest API call may help - if there is any. I am sorry, we have no experience with LAN Sweeper, but for sure, if you can set a rest Api call on asset create, update and delete events on LAN Sweeper side, AIP has rest APIs to handle those operations. Please let me know if you'll need help on AIP side.
Kind regards
Tolga - Snapbytes

Hello Peter,
AIP has rest APIs to create/update/delete assets. They are very standart rest end points. Here is the documentation: https://confluence.snapbytes.com/display/AIP/Asset+REST+Services#AssetRESTServices-Createanewasset
However, I had no luck when I googled for rest API calling with LAN Sweeper. Maybe in the mean time you can contact with their support. Basically, you need to learn that is there any automation or event based rest api call support.
Kind regards
Tolga

Thank you for your assistance. With 'multiple irons' in the fire (workload), it's challenging to stay in contact with all communication channels.
