How do I configurae my gmail server as the SMTP notification server? It just hangs there...

I forgot to mention that I am using download version. JNDI appears the only way.

Hi,

Browse to:

Administration >> System >> Outgoing Mail >> Configure New SMTP server.

Configure the fields as the following:

Service provider: gmail

Hostname: smtp.gmail.com

SMTP port: 465

Protocol: SMTP

Timeout: default

TLS: yes

Username: your gmail user.

Password: your gmail password.

Update info, and test ;)

I am using Confluence. I do not see such menu item.
