Project Template 'Scrum' changes back to 'Default'

RobWilson December 11, 2011

Hi,

I have a single project in Jira / Greenhopper, I have changed the 'Project Templates' screen from 'default' to 'Scrum', but whenever I returned to the screen it has reverted back to 'default'.

The red legend 'All changes will be saved automatically' does not appear to be true.

What do I need to do to ensure that the template is setup for Scrum? (Note, using onDemand)

Thanks,

Rob.

Okay - perhaps I was being silly!

I hadn't realised that changing the template to scrum didn't actually mean 'change the template to scrum', but instead I was meant to be picking the base template to be used when creating a new template!

However, even though I chose 'Scrum' and created my new template, the ranking field etc were not set as per the Scrum settings (I needed to add the 'rank' and 'flagged - impediment', as per what appears when scrum is selected).

Ah Hah, Found it!

Go to Administration > Issues > Issue Types

Select the "Issue Types Scheme" tab.

You will see the GreenHopper Scrum and Default Issue Type Schemes. On the right of the page there is an "Operations" column. Click "Associate". You will be taken to a page that lists your Jira projects. Select the project you want to associate the scheme with then click the "Associate" button.

Done!

Hey Rob,

I had the same question. Thanks for clearing this up for me.

So now that I know what the template configuration screen actually means, how do I ensure the "Scrum" template is applied to my project. BTW, I think it is, I just don't know how I stumbled upon applying the template.

Thanks!
