I've used the plug in to create a template for my main project type, but for my purposes it seemed limited in what the template contained. Ideally I would like to be able to create a project that can assume (from a created template) the category, permission scheme, notification scheme, issue level security AND automatically created a standard set of Issues. Anyone know if 6.1 will be able to do this and or when it will be a production release?
Hi Jessica,
Gaia for JIRA can do everything you just described. For more information, visit :

Hello, coming back to this issue as the users of the OnDemand version are not loved that much as many useful plugins as the ones mentioned above are not available for OnDemand. In my company too we need to be able to create projects with a default configuration but most importantly with a default set of tickets (i.e. 15 predefined tasks that are the same for all these projects), like the project blueprint mentioned above. Is there a way to achieve this without implementing our own plugin? Again, we are talking about the OnDemand installation.
Thank you very much

Thx, Christian.
all the time i have been searching for this (and other tasks) is confusing. Also when following your potsed link I got the information "Unavailable for OnDemand instances hosted in the cloud".
What shall I beleive / test?

6.1 (6.0.7+ to be exact) gives a plugin module for project blue prints. Seems like a good place to start.

You could use the script runner plugin and the "copy project" built-in script:

Nice, to be not alone in JIRA world asking for realisation of simple obvious needs.
I hope there is a way... I didn't find one, yet:-(
