I have anonymous user disabled in Global Permissions under Anonymous Access, how does an anonymous user show up in the Announcer for Confluence's Active notifications under the Acknowledgements count?
We have several active notifications but only this announcement shows a 1 for anonymous user? How can that be? We are using Announcer for Confluence plugin.
Hi @Terri Yeago,
Please note that if you had turned on anonymous access at the global level for some time and during that time some user has tried to access the instance anonymously then it will be recorded. Please check your audit logs in your confluence instance if someone had enabled anonymous access and then disabled them again.

Hi @[deleted],
As you can see from the Active notifications screen below, announcements have been created after the announcement showing an anonymous user. The only difference is that it was a different user who created the announcement that is related to the 1 anonymous user. The anonymous access was disabled prior to the announcement in question.
Any thoughts as to why it would show the anonymous user?
Thanks so much, Terri
P.s. Disregard the yellow circle

Hi @Terri Yeago,
Unfortunately, we have not see the same issue with any other users and during our testing. Can you please raise a support request from this link and provide us your support zip as it will be helpful to troubleshoot the issue further.
