We have some import jobs that has to run before other import jobs.

Scheduling the jobs individually is difficult because it is hard to say how long time one job will take before the next can run.

I would like the ability to assemble the jobs in one parent scheduled job, where the individual jobs are being run in a given order.

Is this possibe, or should I make a feature request?

Hi Johannes,

I would suggest you make a feature request for this as it is not possible as of today, If you schedule your imports, they will run according to the cron expression, but as you mentioned, it's hard to say how long one job will take.

There is an possibility to use our open API, where you could check if an import is running, and if not start the appropriate import. That way you could build some script on your own that could handle this.

Let us know if that would be interesting.

Best Regards
Alexander

Johannes,

Could you let us know which application this is in reference to? I see your question is uncategorized and isn't tagged, so I would like to update it so that it is in the proper collection.

Regards,

Shannon

Johannes,

I did see the tag for insight but I am not familiar with that product.

Is this a 3rd party add-on that you are using? Can you let me know which Atlassian Product you're using it with?

Regards,

Shannon

Thank you, Johannes. I've tagged this question with the appropriate tag for the vendor and will move to the Marketplace collection.

Kind regards,

Shannon
