The built-in field copy script can only copy between compatible custom fields. I suspect you're trying to do something like copy a string field into a date field.
If you want to convert between types, you will need to write your own code to do it.
Thank you for your answer. The problem is that i want to copy a custumfield to another but no one appears on the searcher. So i can't choose what is my customfield source and what is my target.

If you get nothing in the searcher, you probably don't have any compatible fields to copy to.
Could you look at the source field and get its type, then look at the rest of your fields to see if any are compatible?

The field that i have to copy is a textfield. I have many other fields with the same type but those fields are available on search.

I did my search on different server so it was normal. The problem now is when i try to copy a checkboxe custom field values to another checkboxe, the copy doesn't work. Perhaps copy between checkboxes is not compatible?
