How do you record number of hours/minutes spent on working a sub-task in Jira

We are attempting to capture how much time we're spending on non-development type user stores/sub-tasks in addition to time spent working Bugs.

Is there a field on the issue-type to capture this information or do we enter it as a comment or other suggestions?

Most of us add the "time tracking" field to the sub-task screens to capture this.  You'll need time tracking enabled of course.

Thanks Nic - I'll get with our administrator and ask him to submit a ticket to have time tracking enabled for us.
