I am trying to use Elements copy & sync to clone an Epic AND all of the linked 'Issues in the epic' (i.e. children stories). When trying to use the Elements feature, only sub-tasks and links are shown as items to clone. I would expect the function to clone the epic and all its children tasks. I am sure I am misunderstanding how to correctly use this tool and was hoping someone could set me straight. we are running Jira on a Data Center and using Elements version 3.0.0. Should I be looking at another product such as 'Epic Clone' that says it will copy Epic structures (issues, linked issues, sub-tasks)? Thanks.
Hello @Thayne Munson,
I am part of the Elements Connect support team.
Unfortunately, what you are asking is not yet possible with our app.
There is the following Change Request to track this need: CS-1474 - Clone a parent (especially an Epic) and all the childs linked to it
Our Product Owner should review it soon. In the meantime, I'd advise you to vote for it to give it some weight and add you as Watcher to be informed of any news. Moreover, don't hesitate to directly comment this Change Request if you want to add any information related to this need.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Kind regards,
Simon.

Hi, @Thayne Munson
You can use Clone Plus for Jira Data Center to clone an epic, its issues, and their subtasks with estimates also.
I'm the product manager for the app. If you have questions or feedback about Clone Plus for Jira, please get in touch with us directly.

Hi Nishanth, I looked at the Clone Plus demo and saw the screen that showed what things can be cloned. I did not see and option for 'Clone Linked Issues' (stories, tasks, etc.). Thanks.
