I've added a new custom field to my issues and am not able to make inline changes to that field within structure. Is the a known limitation?
No, this is not the known issue. I just added a custom field (textbox) and I am able to edit it inline on the side detail window and big issue detail window too.
I am not facing any problem.
Hi Parrish,
It's not possible to inline edit custom fields in Structure Cloud for now.
We already have a task submitted to change this behavior, and I will make to post an update here when it becomes available.

Hi Monika,
Parrish is specifically inquiring about a feature related to Structure Cloud.
That's a Jira app.
Sincerely,

Thank you Mario! I've recently changed companies and have gone from a server instance of Jira and Jira structure to a cloud instance. I'm struggling big time to get any traction with the Cloud structure. I absolutely love structure with Jira and all but curl up in the fetal position in the corner without it. :) Structure in Jira cloud has a ways to go yet. I sure hope the roadmap for it is going to address some basic usage!?! Such as being able to select and item in a row and have it slide the detail screen right there. Or being able inline edit custom fields, etc.
Thanks everyone for your help!

Hi Parrish,
Thanks for the kind words.
The good news is that both features are on the way.
If you wish, you're welcome to review our Structure Cloud Roadmap as we have many more features planned, and also subscribe to our Structure Cloud Release Notes to stay informed of newly released features.
Wishing you a smooth transition.
