I have been researching the topic, and hiding the time information in JIRA is next to impossible (except if using the field security plugin)
With tempo you can hide the time tracking information, except that even if you are not in the tempo team, you can still show the time tracking information either through a column in the issue navigator or through the time tracking report.
Do you have any suggestions to really hide all the information (except from working in a separate project)
Francis
Hi Francis,
to hide the Tempo timelogs (where a user can only see his own worklogs) in the Issue view , you will need to disable the "Tempo Issue Progress Action" module. This is done by going to Administration -> Manage Add-ons -> Tempo Timesheets and click the + sign next to the modules enabled. Find the "Tempo Issue Progress Action" module and disable it.
To hide the Time tracking and the Work log (in Activity) you need to go to Issues -> Field configurations -> Configure and hide the Time Tracking. You will need to do this for all Field configurations.
Best regards
Susanne (Tempo)
2013 is long ago.. I think this may have changed.
The + sign isn't available anymore.
How do I achieve to hide the Tempo Plugin nowadays? We find it very "place consuming" and makes us scroll way more down to get to the comments.
Running on Jira Cloud.

Hi Nico,
Hiding the Tempo panel in the Issue view is not possible on Cloud (and never has been, this was only possible on Server), but it can be collapsed.
JIRA is releasing a new Issue view which required changes to the Tempo panel. The Issue page setup is no longer user based but issue based. This means that when you click to view Tempo data, and another user clicks to hide that same data, it will be hidden from your view the next time you access the issue as Atlassian now stores this information in the issue instead of the user.
We have gotten some feedback on the size of the new Tempo panel (especially when no work has yet been logged on the issue) and we are working on a fix for this.
Regards,
Susanne

Okay, thanks!
Sounds like it's getting worse at this point.. :/ we are looking forward for the changes and continue our trial!
