Is there any difference between Automation for Cloud and Data Center?

Hello!

We are currently researching whether Jira Software can be used in our company.

An instance of a Cloud based JS is used for modelling. At the moment sufficient enough use model depends heavily on Automation tools.

If we choose to proceed with implementation we will be bound to use a Data Center option.

Please could you describe if there is any difference between Automation app for Cloud and for Data Center?

Hi there, Alex.

While the Cloud offering will have the automation bundled with it, you can still obtain the same automation tools for DC by using plugins.

On the Atlassian Marketplace you can find these two:
Automation for Jira - Server
Automation for Jira - Server Lite
