Problem with installing Atlassian add-on

adam.schmidt November 5, 2017

I am trying to install an add on license for Kanoah CRM. The instructions say:

3. Install add-on

Note: You must have administrative rights to install an add-on.

  • Open your Atlassian application and log in.
  • Navigate to the administration section. You may need to log in again (we're super secure).
  • Choose "Add-Ons", then navigate to "Manage Add-Ons" (the "Install" section in older versions).
  • Click the "Upload Add-On" link and upload this file.

The "Upload Add-On" link or button does not exist on my browser. Can you please let me know how to proceed?

Thanks

Are you using Jira Cloud, or Server?

Hi Nic,

It's Jira Cloud.

I finally managed to get the button to appear once I clicked on another menu option but now when I click it asks for a URL for the file I have downloaded onto my local computer.

How can I reference the local file on my computer as a URL location?

Thanks and regards

Adam

Ok.  You can't use Server add-ons in Cloud.

Your system is not asking for a URL for a file, it's asking you to provide it with a URL for the descriptor of a Cloud add-on.

Kanoah CRM does not (yet) have a Cloud version.

Thanks Nic,

It makes complete sense now.

Adam
