Recurring Tasks in Jira

Can i use Automation for JIRA to create Mutiple recurring tasks . 

I want to run one rule that will create 50 monthly recurrign tasks. 

Do i need to write 50 rules for 50 tasks

Hi Saurabh,

Yes, so you could create a scheduled rule with multiple 'Create issue' actions (up to 65 are allowed in a single rule):

• Trigger: Scheduled monthly
• Create issue: First issue
• Create issue: Second issue
• ...

Regarding what fields can be set:

• Pretty much any field in Jira can be set with Automation for Jira. We support pretty much all system fields and system custom fields in the simple form now, so you can just set them visually. (see https://docs.automationforjira.com/components/actions/actions.html#create-issue)
• For other fields, there's always the advanced JSON syntax (see https://docs.automationforjira.com/smart-fields/advanced-fields.html). Depends a bit on your types of fields, but if they are just standard Jira custom fields, most will be easy to set with the simple form builder we include.
