Show story points in epic while time tracking is disabled

Dear Community people,

is there a way to sum up fields in another issue field ?

We have time trackign disabled but still measure the work load of Tasks in stoy points. Is there a way to sum up the story points of Tasks in the linked Epic ?

Hello Fabian!

There  are multiple ways to do this, any app with Scripting will help, you. If you already have Scriptrunner, you can do so with a scripted field, of with Misc Custom Fields. If you search for app with customfields, usually they have an option for adding up a number customfield.

to my knowledge this isn't possible in standard Jira.

But it wouldn't be to hard to create a scripted field in Scriptrunner for Jira to which shows the sum of the story points of the linked tasks.

Maybe some other apps have this allready pre-configured too.

But you definitely need an app for this🤔
