We think there are some potential bugs with the new testing board feature.
For a user who does not have project admin access but is a Jira software user that can acess the project board:
1) User clicks on the Testing Board. From the getting started screen they search a test plan and select one from the dropdown menu. They are not taken to the Testing Board for that test plan they are returned to the same Getting Started page. The only way we have been able to make this visible to all users it to set them as project admins for each project which is too much access for all users to have. As a workaround it seems we can temporarily grant access to being a project admin and then revoke it; once revoked they can still access the testing board feature.
For a user who is a project admin:
2) User clicks on the Testing Board. If they have never viewed a test plan before they are unable to search a test plan within the Getting Started page. They have to use the universal search in Jira to bring up the test plan, then they can pull it up within the testing board.
Is there a way in either Xray administration settings or Jira administration to enable this for all users?
Also is there any way to disable the testing board feature so that we can see the Xray link again? As of right now there is no way to see this and we have to navigate through the board to get to Xray features like search test set or search test execution.
Hi Rachel,
Can you please open a ticket in our Support?
To analyze these questions we'll need more information to better understand this situation.
