The global automation rule "Link mentioned issue" adds an issue link on every comment, regardless of whether the mentioned issue is already linked. What "Advanced compare condition" filter can I use to prevent the issue link from being duplicated? (e.g. any linked relationship exists to the mentioned issue such as "blocked by" or "relates to")
The issue link field is not documented here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/automation/smart-values-993924860.html
This link seems very close to the solution: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Marketplace-Apps-Integrations/Can-I-check-if-an-issue-has-no-issue-links-or-specific-links/qaq-p/419911
Hi Zak - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
What happens when you follow the advice in the last link? Do you get errors? What does your Audit log for the rule say? Can you post a screenshot of the rule and the Audit log?
I'm also trying to solve that. The second link comes indeed close. However, I would need to pass in a dynamic value. Namely, the value of the issue key found in the comment body. I could either create a variable out of the issue key found in the comment body or I could try to parse it again. But I don't know how. Any idea @John Funk
