Why does my automation rule send 40 mails with 1 issue each instead of 1 mail containing all the issues

The option that you are referring to is:We only offer the bulk issue processing in Jira Server/DC at this time however we have a backlog item to add this functionality to Jira Cloud, https://codebarrel.atlassian.net/browse/AUT-888.

I'm afraid I can't give you an estimate for when this will be done as it is currently in our backlog. I've added a vote for it for this question however.
