Scripted Field Won't Sort

I've written a simple script to obtain the number of links associated with an issue using groovy. When I try and sort them (the reason for thsi script is to put priority on those with the most links) the numbers are scattered everywhere, with no logical order. I have re-indexed twice now and cannot get it. Any ideas?

Nevermind, third reindex finally worked.

Normally one is enough. The sorting is governed by the indexer you use.
