Unique Regex Custom Field shows a generic error message instead of a customized one.

Unique Regex Custom Field overwrites the customized error message with a generic one "Please provide a valid value for field 'xxx'."

How do I enforce a customized error message which is configured via Add-ons - UNIQUE REGEX FIELDS - Configure Unique Regex Custom Fields?
