With Scroll Versions, is it possible to have a different background color for each space version?

I am using scroll versions and I would like to have a different background for each version of my space. It would greatly reduce the risk of editing the wrong version of a page.

This is not possible unfortunately. We are currently working on UI improvements for Scroll Versions, which should help in determining the current working version. Hopefully, they would help you as well.

If you «watch» Scroll Versions on Atlassian Marketplace, you will receive notifications when a new release/update comes out (simply click «Watch app» in the lower right corner).

Could you please clarify which exact background you would like to change? Is it the page background, Versions toolbar background or other?

You can already define colors per version, which is visible in the toolbar:
