apt-get update fails on Atlassian SDK repo (404)

After reviewing our build machines, I'm seeing that since mid-February they have failed to pull down updates from the Atlassian SDK repo:

Ign:8 https://sdkrepo.atlassian.com/debian stable InRelease                         

Err:9 https://sdkrepo.atlassian.com/debian stable Release

  404  Not Found

Reading package lists... Done

E: The repository 'https://sdkrepo.atlassian.com/debian stable Release' does not have a Release file.

N: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default.

What has changed recently and why is there no longer a Release file?

Hi Drew & Adrian, 

Yes, there were some changes to the SDKRepo service.

We posted a message in the developer community forums when the changes went live, you can review the details at: https://community.developer.atlassian.com/t/atlassian-plugin-sdk/14813.  

I've explained the reasons for the change in the post.  

If you'd like to see this working again, you can head over to https://ecosystem.atlassian.net/browse/ATLASSDK-126 and vote.

@Drew Lafferty I've been having the same issue and stumbled across this ticket which indicated that apt-get support has been recently removed for the Atlassian SDK:
