copy parent issue transition comment to child issue

I have a workflow button to create a child issue from parent issue . On clicking of the button, a screen appears with comment field. My requirement is to copy the same transition comment to the child issue. I tried the post-functions but not able to achieve it.

I am new to atlassian and hence struggling to achieve this.

Any inputs would be appreciated.

I was able to achieve this by adding the below in the create issue post function

Comment:

Set value to Groovy Expression: transientVars.comment

@Aditya Sastry Is it on Parent issue or Child issue workflow and what type of Post-function is that ?
