sudo & permissions inheritance

Hi David - 

Does the Sudo for JIRA plugin override any permissions restrictions imposed on the user you're sudoed into doing the work?

For example:

• Jane Smith doesn't have permissions to the "Resolve Issue" transition in JIRA
• Admin User is an administrator with permissions to use the "Resolve Issue" transition.
• An API call is made by Admin User sudo-ed as Jane Smith to perform the "Resolve Issue" transition.

Would this transition actually work, inheriting permissions from Admin User, or would a permissions error result from this call?

Hi Matt-

Great question!  Behind the scenes the plugin fully switches to the sudoed user, so in this case once you sudo to Jane Smith you will would receive a permissions error if Jane is unable to make that transition.
