update test case status using zephyr plugin in jenkins and ZAPI.

hi all

My requirement is to either create test cases in zephyr for jira through selenium integration OR update existing test case statuses using selenium script. I have a jenkins job where i have configured zephyr for jira as a post build action. I also have TestNG and JUnit from my selenium. My jenkins job should be creating test cases in jira and updating the statuses as well (as per zephyr documentation). Why do i need ZAPI then? ZAPI uses the zephyr API, do i need it to update test case statuses in zephyr?

Zephyr for Jira Cloud doesn't require ZAPI installation w.e.f 23rd Aug 2020

You can easily integrate your selenium scripts with zephyr using Test Automation ( A.T.O.M ) functionality

You can use A.T.O.M api's as post build action in Jenkins

hi Jagadeesh, my jira instance is on server and doesn't have ATOM enabled. The zephyr is use isn't enterprise edition but zephyr for jira which is inbuilt. Do you have any other solution in mind?

ATOM is available for Zephyr for JIRA Server also for any release after FEB 2020.

Please note: There is an option to Enable/Disable A.T.O.M functionality using ATOM specific permissions at a project level. It is enabled for everyone by default.
