We're looking to move to Bitbucket Data Center Edition but want to continue using the Stash Mirror Hook even after we move to DCE but it appears to not work with DCE. Is there a technical reason why?
Basically, we have a few small repositories we want to continue pushing to Bitbucket Cloud / GitHub / etc. as our SCM is not externally accessible and these repos are low things like Ansible playbooks for parts of our CD pipeline. It doesn't make any sense to stand up a smart mirror just for these few repositories.
Does anyone else do this? How do you handle it? I was considering writing a post-receive hook that'd mirror on push and use Script Runner to implement these on the few repos we need it in.
Hi Chas! The reason is that Stash Hook Mirror is a third-party app and those need to be marked as Data Center compatible and made cluster safe. Data Center provides Smart Mirrors for this same functionality. You can read more about them at Smart mirroring.
Hope that helps :)

Ana
