ScriptRunner Retarget Pull Request Isn't Changing Mandatory Reviewers

I'm using the Auto add reviewers to pull requests Event. And it works great for adding Mandatory reviewers.

However, if I retarget the pull request (click on the Change button to change either the Source or Destination Branch), those reviewers are basically stuck.

The only work around I've found is to navigate away from the Pull Request page, and open a new Pull Request.

Any suggestions?
