Sort Gantt WBS by version

Hi,

We're just getting started with WBS Gantt on our project and I have a sorting problem.

I'd like to sort tasks in my versions by themes like "mechanic", "electronic" .... and it seems that I need Epics to do so.

The thing is, in our different Versions (1.0, 2.0, ....) subjects are always the same and I don't want to make Epics for each version but one epic that could be used in different versions. 

See image bellow, I'd like the "test epic" to be in both versions in the Gantt but I can't find how to do so. Is this even possible ?

The WBS Gantt-Chart works according to Jira's issue structure. Based on this, you can create an epic and assign it to multiple versions, but all the issues under the epic would be appear duplicated on Gantt versions interface.

If you often need to create the same issue structure across versions, I would recommend you to check our Issue Template feature.

Thanks for your reply.

On my screenshot, the "test2Ver" is set in the Epic "test epic" (which is both in "VERtest" and "2VER2test") and in version "2VER2test" but it appears in the version "VERtest" instead of the other version.

It's kinda hard to explain but I hope you see what I mean.

I understood your question.

The WBS Gantt-Chart for Jira Cloud at the moment supports an issue to be related to only one Jira Version. If an issue has multiple Jira Versions related, only one will be used to create the Gantt Chart.

I raised a suggestion for this feature at our Public Tracker project.
