Sort functions in Zephyr for Jira

We are having trouble with trying to sort test cases in the test cycles area...

We have a set of tests that have been used previously and uploaded in order of them to be actioned using the Jira ticket id, but now we need to add several extra steps in between the test case flow, but in doing this the new tests will have a jira ticket ref which if filtered will end up at the end on the test cycle and not in the places we need to have them actioned.

Is there a way to use another id that can be amended and added to all the tests that we can then sort in order for our testers to follow, and if we can get this id added to the test cycles view?
