Tempo Api and Period Management

I have two related questions.

1. I cannot find the Tempo Rest Api or the Tempo Api documentation.  Does anyone know where this is?  I am not talking about the servlet for that only affects worklogs.  I would like to be able to control period management and I am hoping there is something within the api that allows for me to do so.

2. In the scheduler for Tempo, it only allows up to a 5 day grace period to log work to a period.  Is there a way to increase this number above 5 days?
