You can plan time on different levels (issue, project, version,...). When you are planning f.x. to take a holiday, you use the "Plan Time" dialog and log the time you will be away. No work will then be logged but others who have access to your timesheet (like Team leaders) will see that you have planned time and can react on it. If everyting is ok, and you can take holidays on the chosen days, you log your hours.

This dialog is available by clicking the "plan time" button or by opening the drop down in the "Log Work" button (dependent on the version of Tempo Timesheets you are using (See also https://tempoplugin.jira.com/wiki/display/TEMPO078/Plan+Time+Dialog)

The planned time is also visible in other Timesheets (like the Team Timesheet) and in the Calendar view.

@Susanne Götz [T1  - will you guys ever introduce a colour coding by account?  I am using Excel at the moment to give me the ability to see what clients each of my consultants are busy with.  Our Tempo accounts are configured for each client.  If we could colour code per account, that would be so useful.  Are there any plans for this or an add on that could assist me with this?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Silviu,

You can add a custom color for a project. This color will be displayed in the User timesheet when you plan time, not when logging worked time. (See also https://tempoplugin.jira.com/wiki/display/TEMPO078/Project+Configuration)

Kind regards,

Susanne
