hello. Recently I've been experiencing problems while shutting jira service down. it produces some IO and shutdown takes several minutes. I suppose the reason is Groovy (Script runner and behavior plugins are onboard).
@Jamie Echlin - I found your posts on groovy forums - http://groovy.329449.n5.nabble.com/can-t-shutdown-java-web-app-containing-groovy-jar-td5710795.html
Is there any solution/workaround for that? As you wrote in your post - it's not a major problem, but customer is complaining about that ;) Thank you!
Below my call stack. I think it's not all. the rest is like you pasted in your post - osgi-related.

Here is the specific Bug and Workaround: https://jamieechlin.atlassian.net/browse/GRV-134?jql=project%20%3D%20GRV%20AND%20text%20~%20%22stop%22
The only thing you can do IIRC is modify the service params so it shuts down quicker: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/176530/unable-to-stop-jira-service-due-to-groovy-libs
