Universal Plugin Manager Self-Update Plugin fails to update (itself)

Update fails in both cases, when updating via the update manager and when uploading the 2.8.1 jar from Marketplace.

Cannot get Gannt Chart Plugin to work, Developer clamins this issue is realted to the failing UPM Self-Update Plugin

With that being the case, can you give the manual installation a try to see if it helps:

Not to forget, make sure you perform the following after the installation to clear off the plugin cache. See if it helps:

1. Shutdown JIRA instance
2. Delete the contents of JIRA Home Directory\plugins\.osgi-plugins directory
3. Delete the contents of JIRA Home Directory\plugins\.bundled-plugins directory
4. Delete the contents of JIRA Installation Directory\work directory
5. Restart JIRA instance
