My case: Im usingMicrosoft outlook in our company. now once emails recieved, The user profile image is not shown. Instead the default Avatar image is displayed. What is the solution now. we use IE and Google chrome as browsers.

Actually I'm logged in to JIRA using google chrome. Does Outlook have any relation with this?

The reason they don't show up appears to be related to security. I've discovered that if I first log in to JIRA using IE and the check the email notifications in Outlook I can see the Avatars in the email. This is because the session in IE is available to Outlook. If I log in to JIRA through other browsers and/or don't use Outlook, I will see the default avatar image as mentioned previously.

I can see why the images are secure, but there should be an admin option to turn off security for user avatars. Because...who really wants to use IE?
