hi, we recently upgraded to the latest version and the Invite Users does not work. Is there any other self-privisioning features we could use? Am so disapointed.

Also, I need a community forum for feedback on my site - any recommended plugins for this release?

thanks, Helene

Hi Helene,

The Invite Users function should work without problems in Confluence v4.2.8, so if it isn't working then it sounds like there is a problem with the configuration of your instance but you can read about the options for inviting users here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONF42/Adding+and+Inviting+Users

One thought I have had that could be causing this is that you are trying to email invites, but you don't have a mail server configured for your instance. However, if this is not the case then you should open a ticket with Support so that we can investigate this issue for you.

Regarding your question for a community feedback forum, I believe that Adaptavist's Community Bubbles plugin would fit your needs and therefore I would advise you to give that a try.

All the best,
John
