What happens to test steps when you stop using Zephyr?

I'm looking at switching from Zephyr for Jira to Qmetry for Jira. I'm wondering however what happens to all the previously created test cases and test steps? If I choose to re-enable Zephyr in the future, am I able to see previously used test cases and test steps?
