I've poured over the sites and all I can find is that the marketplace says it's "free". Is it apache 2.0? Or is it the Mibex end user license agreement or some other such thing? Guidance greatly appreciated.
Hi,
I'm very sorry that you have no time to wait. Unfortunately we're currently not ready to publish an EULA. I can fully understand that you have to move forward an therefore you have to find another solution.
Best regards,
Monica from Mibex Software
Hi,
It's free, but runs under a commercial license (copyright by Mibex Software GmbH).
Do you want to integrate or extend the add-on?
Kind regards,
Michael from Mibex Software

I'm looking to integrate the plugin so that our Bamboo and SonarQube instances work nicely together. We aren't looking to fork or anything like that. My organization is very careful around licenses, so the particulars matter for me. Do you have the license published somewhere (and ideally a page making the relationship to Sonar4Bamboo official)? Thanks for the speedy turnaround.

Can I help you to extend Sonar for Bamboo in a way that it works better with your SonarQube instances? May I ask what your requirements are? Maybe the missing features you are looking for are also interesting for the other Sonar for Bamboo users...

I'm not really interested in extending the product just yet. After all, I haven't had a chance to use it. If you would please publish the license model and license verbiage so that I can review, I can give it a go. Once I've used it a bit, I'd be in a much better place to comment on any new functionality. Thanks.

At this point in time it will remain closed source. We will discuss this internally if and when we can open source it and which license we are going to use then. I'll reply to this thread when we move to an open source license. Hope this helps. Thanks, Michael

Sorry if this has been ambiguous up until now - I am interested in becoming a user. I don't need source nor do I need an open source licence. Large enterprises like mine require a legal review of the license agreement terms (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software_license_agreement) for any software we use (at least overwhealmingly in the U.S.). This means I need to provide my legal department the verbiage of the Mibex commercial license. If I can't do so, I can't use sonar4bamboo at all. Tons of large enterprises (at least in the U.S. if not internationally) will have this same restriction, so this is really in your best interest as a company that offers paid products and support. Could you publish the current license, please? Thank you.

To be clear I can provide examples: The Jira Agile Plugin's commercial license is found here: https://www.atlassian.com/end-user-agreement/ The Zephyr for Jira Plugin's commercial EULA is linked from here: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.thed.zephyr.je The Marvelution Bamboo Sonar Tasks Plugin's license is Apache 2.0 and linked from here: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.marvelution.bamboo.plugins.sonar.tasks And last, the Cloud Foundry for Bamboo Plugin's license is GPLv3 and is found here: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/org.gaptap.bamboo.cloudfoundry.cloudfoundry-plugin So you can see that commercially licensed plugins (like Jira Agile or Zephyr) and open source plugins (like Sonar Tasks or Cloud Foundry) alike are all publishing the license agreement so that users know the terms upon which they may use the software. At my company like very many others, this is a requirement for the company's protection. Please let me know if it's one you feel you can meet or not. Thanks.

Thanks, I think I now better understand what you are looking for. You can expect an EULA for Sonar for Bamboo in the next two days. I'll post here as soon as they will be available.

Michael, any progress here? Like I said, I can't move forward without your EULA. I'll have to seek out other solutions or look at creating my own if I don't have one shortly. If you don't have bandwidth to make good on this please just let me know so I'm not waiting unnecessarily. Thanks for your help.
