When are Xporter Excel formula's calculated?

Xporter allows me to upload Excel templates to JIRA and then use them to export issues in the prescribed format.

If these spreadsheets contain formula's eg Estimate Hrs * rate, where:

  • the Estimate Hrs is a custom field
  • and the rate is a constant or lookup in Excel

What I'd like to check/confirm is when is that calculation done? Is it done in Excel when the user opens the spreadsheet, or is it done in Jira?
