Why does New zone value not show?

We use the Customer field to control our Zones. I have created a new zone with the same membership as an existing zone - but the new zone doesnt appear in the customer drop down list on the issues. What have i missed?

Have you enabled the zone for the Project in the JIRA Project configurations zones tab?
