XRay: import API links test and requirement correctly while the requirement status wrong

Lingxiao Wu July 28, 2020

Hi all,

I am calling Xray import API to update testng results to Jira. I followed https://confluence.xpand-it.com/display/XRAY/Testing+using+TestNG+in+Java to update the testng result file, to link "requirement" to a test.

Everything works fine, new test is created, test execution is created, and the test is linked to the requirement, however, one thing is off, that the "requirement status" of the requirement is still "Uncovered".

So basically a requirement has a test linked to it by "tested by" relationship, however the "requirement status" is not updated accordingly, is still "Uncovered".

It looks like the import api creates a relationship between the test and the requirement, while did not update the "requirement status" of the requirement accordingly.

This looks like an api bug to me.

thanks,

Lingxiao

Hi @Lingxiao Wu

We have tested this feature, and in our case, the Requirement status appears with the correct value. We used Xray version 4.1.2. Please try with this version. If you still face the issue, please contact us through our Service Desk and send us the file that you are trying to import.

Best Regards,
