I am actually looking to move projects from one instance (On Prem) to another instance (aws hosted), both instances are using same LDAP. The only issue am having is that the username format are different in both instances. In on prem we are using the enterprise name (PC Name) as usernames while in the aws instance, we are using the email address as usernames.
I use the Configuration Manager Plugin to move projects from dev regions to prod as well as between on prem and aws instances. I know that if the user name formats are similar, during deployment, aws instance will sync the users and associate the issues. However, because the username format is different, aws is creating a different user based on the profile in the snapshot and issues are not associated accordingly.
My question now is: Is there a way to modify the users in the captured snapshot so as to replace the pc names to email address before deploying in aws instance? What will be the best approach here.
Thanks
This is something I would be highly interested in if you are able to fully figure out how to do it.
I suppose in this scenario you can use the Selective Merge feature and match the snapshot and the target elements during the deployment process.

And you can always ask the botron support, they have a track record of speedlight response time :)
