jira suite utilities required field of timespent not functioning as designed for jira 4.1

We have just update jira from 4.1 to 6.1 and are concerned with jira suite utilities functionality for time tracking. We have 3 major workflows that require time spent on close issue screen. previously JSU would check the comments for entries but now it expects it entered on closing the screnn. I have read in another question posted that this will be reverted to the functionality similar in jiras 4.1 version, where it doesnt expect an entry to be made from the close issue screen. This is to be fixed in 1.4.10. This is a major show stopper for us and i was wondering if you have acompiled beta version of 1.4.10 that we may use to test instead of waiting on the release. if not, do you havea release date as of yet?

Hello Matt, no release date planned yet. We are at the moment working at some other request for that version and doing integration tests.

I'm bumping this as the question/response was 6 months ago. There were a bunch of rapid releases in 2013 but absolutely nothing in 2014, except for documentation around version 1.4.10. I am really in need of being able to append values to custom fields. As my company uses JIRA On-Demand, we don't have the ability to write our own (easily). Any updates on the release of 1.4.10?

I'd like to add to this. There are some features outllined in JSU 1.4.10 that our company is eager to use. When can this be expected?
