how do I set original estimate

remainingg is set as optional but nothing is going into original estimate

If I remeber correctly you have the option to add Original Estimate in the Create Issue Screen, you should have the field Time Tracking.

Ramiro is correct. The original estimate can be set via issue create/edit screens.

If you don't set original estimate, then Tempo sets if for you when you log the first hours by calculating original estimate = remaing estimate + worked
