hi,
I know that this is probably not the correct place to ask this question and that it is mainly directed to Atlassian staff, but could not find any other location.
I've just visited the new https://plugins.atlassian.com/search/advanced website. It's pretty cool, but I'm missing the plugin categories that were (until yesterday - 21 march 2012) on the lef hand menu.
These seem to have disappeared. Can we get them back? (they don't seem to be in the "labels filter" either.
The dropdown lists are fun, but very limiting if you want to see any plugins for more than 1 option in any list...
thanks for your feedback.
Jacques.
We've just launched the new site yesterday and the categories have indeed turned into labels. You can't search by them yet but it is something that is coming down the pipe to be fixed. You can keep track of that particular issue here.

Happy coding.
Categories are now labels. you can choose up to a max of 3.

Plugins site has undergone an update the update mail states the following
"1. Plugins can now only select three of the available categories. If your plugin is associated with more than three, we only honor the first three alphabetically. So you should make sure that you select the three categories that are most meaningful to you."

This is while adding the plugin. There should be a way of searching based on categories which seems missing?
