From what I can tell from the chat, several users have inquired about using color to code related events in a Confluence calendar, but I can't tell if it is possible or not. One 'answer' refers to an ellipsis that appears after hovering on an event type but I am not getting that functionality on our instance. Can anyone tell me how to select a display color for a given event on a calendar?
Thanks.

Hi Andy
Thanks for your answer. I do have the same UX and I color code all events of one type. And your suggestion led me to realize that I needed to add additional event types to get the variability I need for my calendar. So I added some Custom Event Types. But they are not available to choose from my list of Event Types when editing an existing event or adding a new event. Any idea how to get custom events to appear in the Event Type list?
Thanks.
Elissa
When you click on the ellipsis and edit, can you manage event types? Are they set as available like in the image below?
@Elissa Nurthen hope all is well and your calendar is super-organized now.

Hi Andy,
Yes, i see exactly as is shown in the image you sent. My need is to have each different event type show in a different color in the calendar. It seems like the color grid choice applies across all 'events' and there is no way to vary the colors amongst the different 'event types'. Is that true? or is there a way to have a different color for each 'event type'?
Thanks again.
