How do child pipelines handle variables?

Is there a way to send specific values directly to the child pipeline?
Are they inherited from the parent pipeline?

Passing variables from parent > child is currently not supported. It might be helpful to look at using dynamic pipelines to inject these when the child pipeline runs:
